Carousels are magical and mysterious
Going through this old sketchbook and found this page. Reminds me of that time and the trip I made to see this carousel. I'm still working on images of and from the carousel.They are fun, colorful, scary, sensual, risky and there is something mysterious about reaching for the golden ring. Ray Bradbury's story "Something Wicked this Way Comes" has a carousel that spins backwards to make the rider youthful again. Of course their are always consequences............

Thanks for visiting Rita. Hope you get to see the film "Something Wicked this Way Comes". I'm not sure the director at the moment. Better yet read the book, the visuals are amazing. It is about regrets and how they can consume one. Again thanks so much for visiting.
