sketch two

Playing with a Cool-i-Cam camera that I found while decluttering. Since I'm having issues scanning, thought I would take a pix of my second sketch for the sketchbook challenge. It will be interesting to see what it looks like here. The images are small and seem a bit blurry. Will see what happens.

This drawing is for memories highly prized, of tea time with my Grams and my Mom. The times were full of laughter, love and support. Grams liked her tea with lots of milk and 2 sugars, Mom used a little milk and 2 sugars. I copied Grams way, then Moms but over time I'm more likely to have a little milk or leave it black and once in awhile for memories sake I'll put in 2 sugars and wonder...

This drawing started out with just thinking about a tea bag. Then it became about squishing a used tea bag and I just couldn't stop playing. I love drips and the different colors from the dry tea bag to the wet one. I've used watercolor sketching pencil, white oil pastel, Sharpie fine black pen and scraped into the white oil paint around the tea bag. I forgot to mention I'm using a 9x12 sketchbook I bought at Barnes & Nobles about 2 years ago initially for a RR that I eventually didn't join in. I'm playing on the cover to see what marks will show up.

Hope you're getting some creative time...

Love the idea of using an actual tea bag.
