April theme - branching out

Very appropriate theme for me this month. Seems I've been branching out all over the place and fun artmaking. I've been visiting a friend, at her studio, for several weeks and we are having soooo much fun. She has a printing press and we've been playing with monoprints and we've been stamping on t-shirts. I haven't taken pictures of the shirts (will do this week) but have scanned some of my prints. Artmaking has been keeping me sane amongst all the chaos. Hope you're getting some artmaking in your day.

Another artist friend received a grant for a figure class from the Mass Cultural Council and the Billerica Art Council. There were five sessions that were fun and at the beginning a little intimidating as I haven't done figure studies in a long while. But once the charcoal and watercolor crayon were put to paper, I was in Shangri la...so peaceful...so good for the soul. Here are a couple that would fit in the scanner. Although I think it is interesting, because the paper wasn't for water media, the paper crinkled somewhat and has created some shadows.

I also find life drawing very peaceful... Your results show that.
